browbeat
verb. To bully or intimidate someone into coercion.
Real world example:-
In one of the numerous telephone conversations I had with Steve Alexander during my 5000 mile motorcycle trip last year, I was legitimately complaining about how after his company worked on it, my motorcycle was becoming more and more dangerous to ride each day. I was looking for answers to perfectly reasonable questions given my situation at the time. I quickly noticed that he would never let me finish a sentence before he began to talk over me. I would wait for him to take a breath, because I was brought up being told that it was rude to interrupt, but as soon as I attempted any response, he would instantly begin talking over me again. He was only interested in his own flawed point of view, and anything that did not agree with that was completely disregarded as he continued bombarding me with his browbeating rhetoric.
